Tool to help translators get their work done quicker and more precisely
When translating it’s often a tedious job to roam around in GPLI to check that the translation you made is making sense in it’s real context. Especially for me since I am translating from English to Swedish (and to be honest, the English locale is not that good really). I would like to propose a tool somewhere in the Administration part for translators where you enter the category and stringnumber then GPLI searches thru the PHP pages of the system and presents you with a linklist of all the places that string is used. Then you may click on them – and that page opens up in a new window so you can check that the translation is done proper within it’s real context.

Perhaps it's not suffisant but have you seen in administration/configuration/ the glpi mode translator.
It shows you the string numbers near each string in the interface.

Aye, I do use the translation mode. But sometimes it's hard to translate since you don't see the exact context the string is being used in. Or you see it once and translate it - but then you discover that it actually appears in more places and the way you translated it might not be fitting. It was just a suggestion - just a small iteration around the files with links from within the system. I can do the application myself from outside the system no worries. Feel free to close ticket
